House where V. Kuzma lived

Vladas Kuzma was a surgeon virtuoso, innovator, the pioneer of many surgical directions. He was researching gallstone disease, surgical its treatment, invented an original way to do surgeries on the stomach, was the first in Lithuania to transfuse blood, and he promoted blood storage. He can be regarded as the pioneer of transplantology in Lithuania. There is a commemorative plaque next to his house to remember V. Kuzma.
