Klementas Sakalauskas' private antiquities museum

Klementas Sakalauskas’ passion for collecting antique and ancient things started from his first 18th century’s coin found in the fields, when he was a little boy. From the coin, his collection evolved into the museum of the ancient and antique treasure. His collection brings you back to 18th and 19th centuries, where you may listen to gramophones and music boxes still playing music, find over 200 irons and other household equipment. Collector’s biggest treasure is the 1931 American car – NASH, the world’s first sound recording device – Edison’s phonograph, and the 70–80 million year old dinosaur egg, authenticated by the geological museum in Latvia.

Klementas Sakalauskas is a member of Vilnius collectors’ club and is constantly exchanging things at the Baltic collectors’ trade fairs.
