Krekenava Regional Park

The park was established in 1992, it covers the area of 11 968 ha. It stretches along both sides of the Nevėžis Valley. The park preserves the Nevėžis Valley with numerous tributaries and old riverbeds. There are moraine plains in some places diversified with wavy and hilly terrain of alluvial origin. The park is mostly covered with damp mixed woods, occasionally oaks and ashtrees. You may find more than 800 plant and animal species within the park. 20 manors were in the park‘s area, but now you can see only Linkavičiai-Slabada and Ūdrai manors, Daniliškis and Rodai manors terraced parks and Levaniškis manor park.

Krekenava Regional Park Visitor Centre provides professional information about the significance of the nature and cultural heritage of the park, places of interest within the park, cognitive tourism and recreational opportunities. The Centre holds a permanent display and exhibitions, organises educative, nature and cultural events. You can book hiking, biking and kayaking tours in Krekenava Regional Park. Private tour guide services may be booked upon request.

Krekenava observation tower. A spiral asymmetrical steel tower with guy-wires was built in Krekenava Regional Park in 2014. The height of the tower is 30 meters. The observation deck is located at a height of 25 m above the ground. From here you can admire the Nevėžis Valley and see the surrounding areas at a distance of about 10 km.
