Stone Rapolas

In Krekenava forestry, on the right bank of the river Linkava lies a huge boulder with a unique name Rapolas. Due to its spectacular size: 14.54 m in length, 2.55 in height, 5.14 m in length and 4.18 m in width, in 1964 it has been announced as a natural monument. It is believed that the unusual name was given to the stone according to the name of the local farmer who lived nearby. Due to the size of the stone locals and visitors often calls it a relative of Puntukas (the second biggest stone in Lithuania). Nearby the stone there‘s a cognitive-educational trail called “Girinio Takas”.
