The idea to create something beautiful at the cultural event‘s square came to mind to Miežiškiai parson Rimantas Visockis. On the 2nd of April in 2006, eight wooden angels by Dalius Dirsė, Martynas Povilauskas, Julius Gasaitis, Edvardas Belokopitovas, Stanislavas Janušas, Vidmantas Zakarka, Rolandas Jasiūnas landed on the cultural events’ square ground by giving the square the name “The Valley of Angels”. The craftsmen working there were not famous professionals, but ordinary craftsmen with passion for woodwork. That is obviously seen in their ornate carving. There is a magic bench where you may tell your wishes to one carved ear, and they will be heard at the other one by angels. Angels are the symbol of peace, harmony, mystery, faith and love.
