We care about attracting new inhabitants and talents into Panevėžys. We started the initiative "Panevėžys is friendly to the new inhabitants". During the initiative we have signed a cooperation agreement with institutions, that help newcomers to integrate in the city easier. We organized a pilot event "Panevėžys awaits!", during which the benefits of renewed Panevėžys were presented together with career and business opportunities to Lithuanians that live abroad or in other cities.

In cooperation with "Panevėžys Alumni" association the first virtual forum "Panevėžys connects" has been organized, during which the famous representatives of Lithuanian politics, culture and art together with the participants of the events were posing relevant questions about the relation between Panevėžys community and diaspora living abroad, and the growing of the interconnection of the two. According to the discussions in the forum, the plan has been prepared how to identify the experiences of the emigrants, the initiatives they execute and ideas to increase the attractiveness of Panevėžys, how to connect the diaspora and local communities in order to improve city's business environment.
